Message From The President

Well, we're off to a new year and hopefully the holiday time was enjoyable for you!

This months newsletter is a little late but I wanted share a few thoughts as we enter into this new year.

Our monthly meetings are on track again and we look forward to our scheduled event next week, Jan. 15th. Thanks to The Concord Group for allowing us to hold this meeting in their downtown, Chicago, office. If you haven't seen the invite you are certainly welcome to join us for food, fellowship, and a scheduled presentation.

We still have openings for the April and May presentations so if you have any suggestions or ideas please forward those to Tom or I.

As the construction estimator is becoming more in demand as the economy seems to be improving, we want to reach out in any way possible to current estimators or new and upcoming estimators to join ASPE. The training and Professional Certifications will become more valuable as time passes. Personally the connections I have throughout the U.S. is a valuable tool to have and is a benefit in my work.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so we can include you with all the new information including our February meeting.

Sincerely,
Dave Westfall, CPE

According to US News Money, the #2 Best Construction Job
"Before the first hammer is swung, a cost estimator coordinates with engineers, architects and construction managers to determine the technical, mechanical and fiscal requirements of the project. These hyper-organized critical thinkers could see their workforce swell by more than 26 percent before 2022".
