Delivering a World of Health and Hope .
It's Not Too Late For Your Year-End Gift
2018 was a year of growth and evolution for Supplies Over Seas! It's not too late to make a year-end gift to support our mission of global health. Your donations help us supply medical mission teams, support local nursing programs and redistribute surplus medical equipment to those most in need!
Local Hospitals Support the Mission of SOS
Our mission of sending Health and Hope relies on volunteers and our partnerships with hospitals across the region. The equipment that hospitals donate allows us to furnish clinics around the world. Our volunteers help us sort, label and package the pieces of equipment and supplies that we receive.

In December, we had the best of both worlds when over 100 employees from Hardin Memorial and Norton Audubon helped sort supplies that are being shipped overseas! Staff from both hospitals got to see our mission in action on the ground level.

Our First Container of the Year
Our first container of 2019 is headed to the city of Damaturu in Yobe State, Nigeria. Located in the northeast of the country, residents of Damaturu have little access to proper medical care.

To make this container a reality, we worked with the Yobe State Commissioner of Health. A large focus of the container was provide surgical equipment and giving local doctors the tools they need to perform routine surgery on patients. As with so many of the areas we support around the world, doctors on the ground have the training necessary to save lives - they just don't have the supplies and equipment to do so.

The supplies will be distributed to multiple hospitals across the area and we are working closely with the Commissioner of Health to track the impact of the supplies on regional healthcare. By understanding the best ways to address healthcare inequality, we can improve the way we deliver Health and Hope, not just in Nigeria, but across the world.

SOS Gives Back Locally
Our first Personal Hygiene Giveaway of 2019 was a success! We donated over 3,500 pounds of hygiene items to local organizations like the Family Health Center,  Smoketown Family Wellness Center Kentucky Refugee Ministries  and many more! Our mission to send Health and Hope around the world starts right here at home!
Javonda and Victor took 409 lbs of supplies for a homeless shelter opening in the Iroquois neighborhood.
Charlotte from Smoketown Family Wellness Center.
Burnett Avenue Baptist Church received 180 pounds of supplies.
Tamela from the Family Health Center.
Sometimes we get donations of things we cannot ship overseas. In order to reduce our waste we re-donate these items back to local organizations, positively impacting our community. We regularly donate items to homeless shelters, animal welfare shelters and even local artists. If you're interested in receiving items donated to your organization, send us an email at admin@suppliesoverseas.org!
