The Turquoise Table®: Finding Community and Connection in Your Own Front Yard
Keep an eye out for these beauties! Across America, neighbors are getting to know one another at turquoise picnic tables in the most simple place of all — their front yards. The Turquoise Table® has become a symbol of hospitality and connection with friends and neighbors.

Next Tuesday we will be placing three of our Turquoise Tables at various places in Dahlonega.
If you stumble upon one, sit and stay awhile. Make friends. Chat, eat, and visit with each other.
Coming soon to Hancock Park, Yahoola Park, and The Vickery House.

The Dahlonega Cemetery Committee's Final 2019 Project
As 2019 came to a close, the Dahlonega Cemetery Committee was able to conclude one final project for the year. Three new Crape Myrtles were planted adjacent to the lower entrance road in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Thank you to our city cemetery workers as well as Jane and Jim Mellor from our Cemetery Committee for making this happen.
City recognized for its financial reporting for 10th straight year
Last month it was announced that the City of Dahlonega was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association recently, marking the 10th consecutive year that the city has met the high standards of the program through its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Thank You!
Another Christmas season has come and passed, but it was one of our most successful yet! We could not make this town the winter wonderland it has come to be known as every year without the help of our Old Fashioned Christmas Committee and volunteers. We are extremely grateful for everyone's hard work in decorating the square and putting jolly smiles on all the faces downtown!
