Helping Everyone Realize Opportunities

We're excited to announce the opening of the HERO after school program at our Port Charlotte center. This program was designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for school-aged children, while giving parents peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands. With a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:4, we ensure personalized care and attention for each child. Our integrated setting allows children with and without disabilities to learn and play together, creating a truly inclusive environment. Give your child the opportunity to thrive after school with our HERO program. If you or someone you know is looking for an inclusive after school program and is interested in learning more about HERO please email enrollment@lovelandcenter.org or call (941)493-0016.

Center Spotlights

Laura is North Port's January Spotlight on Success! She has made progress in socialization by spending more time with peers, eye contact, and smiling more. She is tolerating activities with hand-over-hand guidance for longer periods. She enjoys going into the community and riding in the van. When Laura needs downtime, she communicates by humming and staff know that she is ready to listen to music/ sounds with her headphones. The strides she has made may be small for some, but huge for her. So proud of you, Laura!

At the Port Charlotte ADT program, Roy is a shining example of kindness and dedication. His selfless nature and exceptional manners have made him a beloved member of the community. Roy always goes above and beyond to anticipate the needs of others, volunteering his time to help around the center and inspiring those around him. His commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring, and we are proud to have him as a member of our program. Thank you, Roy, for your unwavering kindness and dedication!

Spotlight on HERO

HERO (Helping Everyone Realize Opportunities ) North Port: Jonathon is our HERO Super Star! He has shown growth in the areas of communication and positive behaviors. He likes to be a helper and makes popcorn for his friends. He also always cleans up his mess before leaving for the day and will even clean up other's messes. He likes to socialize with peers, play games, and enjoys going to the park/ outside when he can. Keep up the great work, Jonathon.

Our Month in Review

Equality Through Opportunity

Our North Port and Port Charlotte participants practice life skills as part of the ADT program. With these skills, they can navigate their daily lives with greater ease, contribute to their local community through volunteering, and even explore future employment opportunities. Keep up the great work!
