January 2026

Dear Friends,

As we step into 2026, I am filled with gratitude and pride as we celebrate 25 years of Save One Life. What began as a simple but powerful idea—that helping one child can change the world—has grown into a global community of care, made possible by supporters like you.

Over the past twenty-five years, together we have stood alongside children and families living with bleeding disorders in some of the world’s most challenging circumstances. We have helped children go to school, supported families in moments of crisis, and created pathways to dignity and self-sufficiency. By focusing on one life at a time, we have brought hope, opportunity, and lasting change. Every sponsorship, donation, and partnership has helped turn hope into action.

As part of our anniversary celebration, we are excited to launch Where Hope Begins: The Save One Life Podcast, with our first episode featuring founder Laurie Kelley. We are also looking ahead to an exciting year, including our 2026 Iceland trek and the return of Wheels for the World. Throughout this year, we will be sharing stories from across our global community that remind us why our mission remains as urgent today as it was 25 years ago.

Thank you for believing that saving one life truly can save the world. We are honored to continue this journey with you.

With deepest gratitude,

Cindy

Sponsorship Distribution in Cebu: Good Health and Happiness

We are excited to share these photos from our partners in Cebu, Philippines, showing the recent distribution of sponsorship funds to our beneficiaries. Save One Life’s sponsorship program helps ensure that individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders have access to essential treatment, medical care, and critical support. Thank you to all of our generous sponsors who help make this support possible.

Philip, a 12 year old boy with hemophilia A, shared a heartfelt thank you letter expressing his gratitude for this support. He wrote about how the sponsorship funds helped him receive Factor VIII treatment during a serious health challenge and eased the financial burden on his family. Philip also shared his hope to one day give back by helping others, just as he has been supported. His words are a meaningful reminder that sponsorship does more than provide medicine. It brings hope, stability, and the chance for a healthier future. Read his letter below:

Please consider sponsoring one of the many children available for sponsorship, like Pritam from India.

Pritam is a 9 year old boy with hemophilia B, who was recently enrolled in our sponsorship program! He is in 3rd grade and his favorite subject is language. In his free time, he loves watching TV and playing games with his brother.

You can help this child and his family by giving them the gift of sponsorship. The funds will be used for basic necessities, medical treatment and education.

Through our community fund, Save One Life commits to sending sponsorship funds to children— even after they lose a sponsor.

We are excited to launch the first episode of Where Hope Begins: The Save One Life Podcast in honor of our 25th Anniversary. In this inaugural episode, host Kai Sorensen speaks with founder Laurie Kelley about how Save One Life began and the question that shaped its mission: Could one family help another, across borders? Laurie shares her experience raising a child with hemophilia and seeing the challenges faced by families without access to care. Together, they discuss how Save One Life supports education, financial assistance, and community development to create lasting opportunity, one country, one community, and one life at a time.

Ambassador Aamina Aftikhar's Trip to Pakistan

During a recent visit to the Hemophilia Welfare Society of Lahore, Save One Life Ambassador Aamina Aftikhar met with beneficiaries and families and saw firsthand the impact of our programs. She connected with a young student who dreams of becoming a doctor after overcoming challenges related to her blood disorder, as well as a family finding hope through an education grant during a difficult time. Her visit reflects the strength of this community and the importance of access to care, education, and ongoing support. January Happenings in Europe

Save One Life’s European Ambassadors continue to expand our reach and impact across the region. Promotional flyers have been sent to the EAHAD Congress in Dublin this February to raise awareness of our upcoming initiatives. In addition, an abstract on artificial intelligence and hemophilia, led by Italian Ambassador Dr. Gianluca Sottilotta, has been accepted for poster presentation at the 2026 WFH World Congress in Kuala Lumpur and selected for publication in the Haemophilia journal supplement.

Join Save One Life for an unforgettable adventure: a 5-day trek from Landmannalaugar to Thórsmörk in Iceland from August 1–7, 2026. This world-renowned route takes you across colorful rhyolite mountains, geothermal hot springs, black-sand deserts, and sweeping glacial valleys. As you cross breathtaking Icelandic landscapes, you’ll support Save One Life’s mission to improve quality of life and expand access to care for people with bleeding disorders worldwide. Make a difference with every step, and return home inspired, empowered, and forever connected to a global community of hope.

We look forward to this amazing adventure to help improve the lives of the bleeding disorder community around the world. You don't want to miss out on this once and a lifetime opportunity!

Save One Life is seeking experienced, mission-aligned leaders to join our Board of Directors and help bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to individuals living with bleeding disorders in developing countries.

By investing in a child’s future, Save One Life helps break cycles of generational poverty—because when one life is supported, the impact extends to families, communities, and future generations. One life can create meaningful change for many.
