Happy New Year, VCS Community!

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who attended our Breakfast with Santa event and all those who participated in our Holiday Online Auction. Both were a huge success and we were able to raise more than $5,000! We are excited to use these funds to plan and sponsor some great activities for our students. As always, please let us know if you have ideas or are interested in helping.

Continuing that momentum, we have some great activities already lined up to kick off the new year.

  • Get your tickets now for our Pizza + Paint Party night on January 27th.
  • Basketball fans can get tickets to a Maine Celtics game and help out the PTO at the same time.
  • We are partnering again with Neighborhood Forest to provide free trees for students to plant for Earth Day.
  • With Easter coming early this year, we have registration open now for our popular Egg My Yard service.

Planning has also begun for a family Glow Dance in March. This should be a very fun evening so please reach out if you are interested in helping with the planning.

Join our Pizza + Paint Party!
Join the VCS PTO and Rare Bird Art Studio for a fun night of pizza and painting!  

We’ll start the evening with pizza at 6 and then Rare Bird Art Studio will lead the painting at 6:30. Choice of pre-drawn canvases include a shark or llama. All materials and instruction will be provided!

All-inclusive tickets are $15 and additional meals can be purchased for $5.
Vassalboro PTO Night
at the Maine Celtics

1:00 PM at The Expo

Plan for this fun February break activity and join the Maine Celtics and the Vassalboro PTO for an afternoon at the Expo! $2 from every ticket purchased with our link will go back to the PTO.

Celebrate Earth Day
Plant a Free Tree!

Plant a tree in our community! The VCS PTO is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to offer a free tree to all students.

Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has reached over 1,500 schools, libraries, and youth groups – engaged over 500,000 families – and planted over 130,000 (mostly urban and residential) trees through the hands of children and parents across North America.

Visit the following link by March 15th to register your child for a free 6-12” seedling. The trees will be sent home with students during Earth Week!
Easter is early this year, and Egg My Yard is back!

The VCS PTO will hide candy-filled eggs in your yard the evening before Easter, March 30. You order the number of eggs you would like to be delivered, and let us take care of the rest! A note will be left on your door letting your kids know how many eggs they are searching for.

Support Us With Box Tops!
Please remember to scan your digital or paper receipts to earn cash for VCS students!


Here's how it works: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products, and earnings are credited to your designated school online. Even if you're shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your digital or email receipt with the Box Tops app and earn. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
