Countryside Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation
Phase one of this project is currently under construction and will include rehabilitation of roadways in the Countryside Neighborhood, east of Routier Road at Highway 50. In addition to resurfaced roadways, this project includes upgraded drainage infrastructure, ADA-compliant curb ramps and high-visibility markings on the roadway. The project is anticipated to be complete in Spring 2025. Learn more

Chase Drive and American River Parkway Connection
A multi-use path is being added to Chase Drive from Coloma Road to the American River Parkway. Improvements include a separated pathway with new lighting, ADA-compliant curb ramps, high-visibility crosswalks, trees, landscaping and more. Phase one of this project was completed in late December 2024, and construction on Phase two is anticipated to begin in Summer 2025. Learn more

City Implements $6 Million Stormwater Pump Station Improvements Project
The city is in the final phases of a $6 million Stormwater Pump Station Improvements Project, which will strengthen pump stations to withstand power outages and severe weather, reducing flooding risks, enhancing reliability, and protecting neighborhoods during extreme storms. Cordova High Students Participate in Forestry Challenge
In September 2024, eight students from Cordova High School represented Rancho Cordova in Shingletown, California to participate in the annual Shasta Forestry Challenge. 118 high school students participated from 19 different schools. During the challenge, students completed field tests to assess their technical forestry knowledge and data collecting skills. Learn more
