This fall, Diana hosted the first 'essence of yoga' silent retreat at Lial's stunning renewal center in Whitehouse. Ohio. All were so amazed at the power of this retreat and are super excited to make this a part of their year going forward! The foods were wholesome and delicious vegan/gluten free, the grounds were stunning and so calming, the guided meditations and practices were restoring and relaxing, Diana assisted those that came in so many techniques for finding balance, and her private energy sessions were powerful for those that used them.

We could not wait to give you all the chance to reserve your spot for next year! We have reserved 2 weekends and people are starting to book already so please do not wait! Please call or stop in to the studio to reserve your room asap.

Pranayama and Meditation
3 Month Course 

w/ Diana Spiess

Diana offered 2 YEP sessions in November with Pranayama (conscious breathing) and Meditation and they were so enjoyed! If you would like to learn how to make these practices a part of your daily life, grow to understand all of the amazing benefits, and experience deep relaxation and restoration.. .this new program is for you!

Starting in January, Diana will be offering 2 live calls per month continuing through the end of March... 6 calls total. She will guide the class through numerous pranayama and meditation practices and the calls will be recorded for those in the class to receive afterward to use later whenever wanted/needed. This is an amazing way to experience these practices and being able to practice from anywhere without needing to travel is very powerful.

Diana has been teaching fitness, health, and wellness for over 27 years. She has extensive training in yoga, pranayama, and meditation along with many other modalities that she incorporates into all she teaches. Check out Diana's background, trainings, and experience at her website.

What’s all the hype about Diana’s very special 2-hour sessions??

Diana has been offering 2-hour sessions that include:

Alignment work
She uses many techniques and tools to undo tight areas of the body and helps bring about a more balanced alignment. This is something she truly specializes in that has helped her many clients for numerous years get out of pain, prevent injury, and get much stronger.

Advanced compression system
Used by elite athletes, surgeons who have been on their feet for hours, those with significant circulation issues, etc, the system assists the lymphatic and vascular system flush out toxins and inflammation and improve fluid movement.

Infared, lay-down sauna
Clients end in her infrared, lay-down sauna to truly amplify the lymphatic flush, deep relaxation, and warmth to penetrate the soft tissue to continue releasing any tensions remaining. Since the head is out for this sauna, she chooses to diffuse essential oils and play specific frequency music to calm the entire central nervous system to aid in deep relation and improve immune function. 

This is all followed by activated charcoal to assist the digestive system in eliminating the toxins and free radicals that are flushed in to the system to be flushed out.

About the Course:
This course is a highly detailed and amazing continuation of phase 1. Students will fine-tune their practice and knowledge of the EVT (Energy Vitality Technique) learned in phase 1 and will learn many new practices including: use of body tuners on acupressure points, energizing the spine/chakras, opening the third eye chakra, opening/expanding the heart chakra, and much more. 

This course cannot be done if phase 1 has not been completed. Due to all this course entails, spaces are limited. Please sign up ASAP.

*Includes phase 2 chakra body tuners, acupressure manual, and phase 2 course manual. Angel/crystal tuner with clear quartz crystal, chakra stones, and DVDs (DVDs not needed but optional) for the course can be purchased through Diana ahead of time and will be needed. New Year... New You!

I am all in with the vibration and excitement for change at the beginning of the year! I have been doing fitness and wellness for 29 years (I’m only 30 years old so I am not sure how this can be 😉) and I get so giddy to see so many people looking at the importance of their health and wanting to thrive… not just survive! 

But— here’s the thing. We all know that many will go all-out and then stall-out by spring. My goal is to help anyone prevent this and help my clients see it through and truly make sustainable lifestyle changes. Yes… anyone can do this!! The best tip I can give is to take small steps and make small changes while focusing on YOU… not what everyone else is doing. I cannot emphasize enough the power in working with a health coach, a personal trainer, and coming to classes. These are proven the most effective and safest ways to start and continue successful wellness plans. 

My next tip: focus on each day, one at a time, and take on a mindfulness practice of some sort. I am doing the pranayama & meditation series starting this month. We have so many yoga and pilates classes to choose from, and private energy sessions are great options. Avoiding looking too far ahead is really important to keep grounded and stay the course. Plus, it helps us stay calm and clear if something comes up that throws our schedule off track from what we had planned. It’s impractical to think that we will not have things come up… this is life. But, with powerful mindfulness practices, we can learn to roll with what is needed and not allow our stress levels to climb. 

Finally, if you have a buddy or significant other that you plan to start classes, workouts, or semi-privates with, still set up time with a health coach or trainer for just you. Partnering up can be so beneficial and motivating but we are all designed differently and have different needs. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to embrace this and follow though with a good foundation of knowing yourself and not comparing to others or try to keep up with others. This can cause more harm than good and I have seen it so many times. 

I cannot say strongly enough how excited I am to move in to this new year with you all! The essence staff is beyond ready to help you become and maintain your healthiest, happiest, most powerful you!

Please consider keeping valuables and things you do not need in your trunk or at home when coming to the studio. We have great cubby spaces for shoes and coats but to have more space, we recommend keeping valuables and anything you don't need in your trunk or at home. Due to space and safety concerns, we cannot have extra belongings in the rooms while classes are going on. Although we take pride in our amazing community and studio, Essence is not responsible for lost or stolen items, and we are hoping to help you prevent any issues while also keeping the studio safe and spacious for everyone.
