Monthly Update: Holy Land Pilgrimage Planning
Make Plans
to join us!

A Holy Land pilgrimage is a beautiful way to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. It brings scripture alive and draws disciples deeper into the heart of God. We pray you will consider joining the GEM family as we plan for this blessed event.
My dear GEM Family:

In the past month, we celebrated Christmas and entered into another blessed New Year, 2019. Many have been the blessings we received during Christmas, the ever-present and ever-continuing Presence of Jesus in our midst as our Incarnate Savior and Lord. Through His birth, heading unfailingly toward His sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection, Jesus has established the Kingdom of God in our midst. He is now our Ascended Risen Lord, interceding for us before the throne of God, and He will come again to judge the living and the dead. Christmas has heralded the permanent era of Jesus in whose Sacred Mysteries of His passion, death, and resurrection, we live our lives. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us and we live in His glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

Since we live, move, and have our being in Jesus, and through Him in the Blessed Trinity, we are full of confidence that 2019 will indeed be a blessed year for God’s Embrace Ministries. We are filled with expectant hope that many hearts will be touched through our various ministries. Our new ministry, Shed Light, Conquer Darkness Book Program has been well received. As a mark of our appreciation and gratitude, we have sent our Covenant Partners our first product, The Celebration of the Mass, and have begun offering seminars to help Catholics deepen their appreciation of the Mass. Meanwhile, many have evinced an interest in our second publication, A School of Prayer and Holiness, which gives us a true appreciation of our Catholic vocal prayers that we have prayed since childhood. We have scheduled a Seminar on April 6, 2019 at our Conference Center, High Hill, Texas. Please check our website www.godsembrace.org to register. The GEM retreat weekend for Michigan will be held at the Moreau Seminary on the Notre Dame Campus from March 1-3, 2019. We have begun a new group in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the wives of deacons, and held our first session on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The Holy Spirit continues to initiate movements in various members of our GEM family, inspiring them to reach out and witness to Catholics in our parishes through individual contact or inviting them to form or join small groups. These initiatives are bearing fruit and our small groups are expanding. We continue to pray that various renewal events will continue to be initiated by the Holy Spirit in GEM. We do believe that God is asking GEM to become the leaven that will invigorate the dough, the Body of Christ, in our local parishes and dioceses.

Meanwhile, we are in the infancy stages of planning a GEM pilgrimage to the Holy Land in January or February 2020. There is much interest both in Michigan and Texas, and hopefully in other states among GEM participants. In the next few days, you will receive an email detailing all the necessary information you would need to discern whether the Holy Spirit is prompting you to visit the land of the Holy Family as a pilgrim. We will need some indication of your response early enough so that we can go ahead and make plans with the tour company.

We pray that 2019 will be a blessed year for you, that your commitment to holiness will grow stronger and deeper, that your desire to witness to Jesus by helping others to know Him in a personal and intimate way, will intensify. Again, we request you to send info@godsembrace.org email addresses of family and friends who would be interested in receiving our weekly Spiritual Companioning Reflections. With the archive on our website at their disposal, anyone can determine the start date as well as the various legs of their journey into the heart of God through our SCR ministry. We believe that our SCR ministry will help many, individually and in small groups created by individual initiatives, to develop and deepen their commitment to becoming saints under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Please continue to pray for God’s Embrace Ministries, that we serve God’s covenant family wherever we are, generously and joyfully. May you be blessed in God’s Embrace! You are in our daily prayers.

Sincerely in Jesus Christ,
Shed Light, Conquer Darkness
