January 2024

Your Trusted Insurance Partner

Good morning and Happy Friday!

How is your New Year going so far?

Personally, January has been great for us. Julie and I were thrilled to welcome our newest grandchild, Mary Larkin Turner, to the family last week. Being a grandfather is one of the best jobs I have ever had.

Professionally, our team had a great meeting to begin 2024, and we are excited about all we have to offer you this year.

Are you a New Year's resolution maker? Some of our team members set goals each year, while others say they don't set resolutions because they can't keep them. Even if you aren't counted in the 35% of Americans who set New Year's resolutions, January is still a great time to get organized. In fact, January is known as "National Get Organized Month."

We believe this is a great time to think about life changes that occurred over the past year, because most life changes affect your insurance coverage in some way. We are here to help ensure your potential risks are covered, so check out the article below and let us know what we can do for you.

We appreciate your business!

Sincerely,

Ross Turner, President

Get Your Insurance Coverage in Order

Changes in your life can affect your insurance coverage. We have pulled together some of the most common instances where we get questions. If any of these apply to you, please reach out and let us know.

New Car Purchase

If you purchased a new vehicle or made a trade, don't forget to contact us with the details. Sometimes our clients rely on the dealership to contact us, leaving them with a possible gap in coverage when the dealer doesn't call.

Youthful Drivers

If your youthful driver has an A-B average, make sure to let us know. Good grades could mean you are eligible for a discount on your auto insurance premium. We know that every little bit helps! Click here for other ways to lower your auto (and home) insurance rates without sacrificing coverage.

Home Renovations

Did you renovate your home last year, or are you planning a renovation? Some home renovations will change the amount of insurance coverage you need, while others (such as a new roof) may lower your premium. Click here for six renovations that can affect your insurance.

Home-Based Business

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, over half of all small businesses in the United States today are home-based. If you have a home-based business, your home insurance policy probably won't cover your business inventory or liability. Let's make sure you are insured correctly. Read on for more.

Flood Insurance

Did you know that a home insurance policy does not include flood insurance or earthquake insurance? Click here for "Flood Insurance 101," which includes a link to determine what type of flood zone your home is in.

Contact Information

Has your cell phone number, address, or email address changed? If so, please contact us with any updates.

Happening in Greenville

January was designated as National Blood Donor Month by President Richard Nixon in 1969. When was the last time you gave blood? Traditionally, the winter months see less donations, and the Red Cross recently declared an emergency blood shortage. Please consider donating by clicking here. You can be a lifesaver!

Restaurant Week South Carolina continues through this Sunday. Why not try a new restaurant for lunch or dinner this weekend? Click here for a guide to all participating restaurants.

It's never too early to dream about purchasing a new boat! The Upstate South Carolina Boat Show is scheduled for January 25-28 at the Greenville Convention Center. You can browse, check out the antique boats on display, and see the latest in boats and accessories. Click here for the details, and call us if you decide to make a purchase!
