It’s January, a time of year that represents change, growth, and transition. Later this month, FACT Oregon welcomes families, youth, educators, and providers to a fabulous opportunity to explore one of life’s biggest transitions - that special transition to adulthood!

That's right, our Transition to Adulthood Virtual Summit is Saturday, January 29th! Connect with transition experts, engage with panel discussions featuring parents and youth, and learn about supported decision-making, transition services, sexuality and relationships, and much more! We especially encourage parents to to sign up WITH their youth experiencing disability for some or all of the sessions! 

And, as we launch into 2022, we feature another of our emerging parent leaders -- Lucia, who has two transition-aged sons. Lucia recently graduated from our e3 Activating your Advocacy parent leadership training series. Read her advocacy story below!

This fall, schools welcomed all students back to full-time in-person learning. Let’s keep this positive momentum going for our students, staff, families and communities. Lets work together to keep everyone safe against COVID-19. This winter, think of protecting yourself from COVID the same way you would keep warm, layer up! Face coverings, social distancing, and vaccinations are the best tools for keeping our communities safe and healthy.
