Connecting Families to the Support They Need

FRN is here to support individuals living with disabilities and their families, helping make daily life safer and more accessible. Through our Assistive Technology and Home and Vehicle Modifications program, we partner across New Jersey to connect families with the tools and adaptations they rely on at home and in the community. This past weekend, Deborah and her family were recognized at the Spring Lake Hope Foundation Holiday Luncheon, one of many families our program has supported.

Eight-year-old Deborah is one of those we have assisted. Her family received a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT from FTMobility with a BRAUN XT power fold-out ramp, and through our assistive technology grant, we coordinated a lift installation at no cost to them. This simple update immediately improved how safely and comfortably she can travel.

Our program helps families access support for vehicle modifications, home accessibility updates, and adaptive equipment that encourages independence. Services for eligible youth are available statewide through DCF PerformCare.

Save the Date! 1 in 26 Day is Monday, January 26th

Did you know that 1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime? On 1/26, communities across the country come together to recognize the strength, resilience, and determination of individuals living with epilepsy.

This day is about awareness, but it is also about people. People who show up every day as students, parents, professionals, artists, athletes, and advocates. People who are so much more than a diagnosis.

Join Family Resource Network and Epilepsy Services of New Jersey as we help shine a light on epilepsy, share stories, and stand alongside the epilepsy community.

1 in 26 Day is recognized each year by Epilepsy Alliance America and was created by the Epilepsy Association of Western and Central Pennsylvania.

Mark your calendar and stay tuned for ways to get involved.

A Real Story of What Support Coordination Makes Possible

The spirit of the season often shows up in small, meaningful moments worth celebrating.

This beautiful voice belongs to Jodi DiPiazza, a participant in Caregivers of New Jersey’s Support Coordination program, who recently released her first original song, The First Christmas Day, now available on streaming platforms. With the support of her family and Support Coordinator, Miholly, this moment reflects creativity, growth, and the encouragement that helps people step into what’s possible.

This holiday season, Family Resource Network and our affiliates are grateful to walk alongside individuals and families as they pursue their goals and celebrate milestones big and small.
