Valentine Trees Sponsored by Church and Society
On January 22 and 29, you will see the Valentine trees in the Taft Christian Life Center lobby and the Hall of History. Please stop by and take a heart with the name of a kindergarten student from Lakeforest School on it. We are asking you to purchase a NEW, HARDCOVER book for the child. If you're not sure which book, we'll give a list of suggestions. Bring the book back to church by February 5.

We will visit the school and deliver the books on Valentine's Day. If you would like to join us, please contact Cindy Letchworth at 252-327-7050 or by email at: csletchworth@gmail.com. We will arrive at the school at 9:00 am, visit the classrooms in teams of 2 or 3, read a book to them, and then give out the books. We should finish by 10:30 am. This is a wonderful opportunity to share God's love and our love with the children. We hope all of our Jarvis family will join us!
Interested in Financial Peace University?
Financial Peace University: An opportunity to participate in Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University is being considered to begin about the end of January. This 9-week, two hour program is designed by a well-known talk radio personality and emphasizes a Christian approach to money matters from the over-use of credit cards to saving for children's college education to funds for retirement. If you have an interest in being a part of this short-term study, please contact Leonard & Andrea Kelly, Rev. Bill Sherman, or the church office. The day and time for the study will evolve from those who would attend.
