Important WCHC Policy Updates

Masks Currently Required

Based on updated guidance from the Maryland Department of Health and the rising rates of COVID-19, Influenza, and RSV, all patients and patient-facing staff are required to wear face masks while on-site at WCHC. Masks are available as needed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and partnership to provide a healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Charge Card on File

We would like to make patients aware of a recent change to our financial policies. This update pertains to the following patient groups:

(1) Patients who utilize telehealth services

(2) Patients who are considered unaccompanied minors

Beginning on 2/29/24 we will require a credit/debit card on file, with limited exceptions, to simplify the process of collecting copays, coinsurances, deductibles, and past balances. Your understanding and cooperation are highly valued as we strive to strike a balance between convenience and effective operations. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our front office.

Community Connections

In December we partnered with Conowingo Elementary School in supporting students and their families during the holiday season! We are looking forward to future partnership opportunities with the school and with other schools in Cecil and Harford Counties.

Members of the WCHC team had the opportunity in December to visit The Epicenter at Edgewood and learn about the amazing things they are doing through the services and resources they provide. We are looking forward to expanding our partnership with them!

Mental Health Matters

Helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

In January, we celebrate Mental Wellness Month. What better way to start the new year than to put your mental health first? Research shows that your mental health significantly impacts your physical health. If you suffer from chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, you are more likely to experience mental health issues like depression or anxiety. On the contrary, strong and healthy mental health can reduce your risk of having a heart attack and getting sick. Do not be afraid to put yourself first this year by improving your mind-body health. If you, or someone you know, are in need of care, please call the office today at 410-378-9696 to schedule.

WCHC Behavioral Health is currently accepting new patients for both in-person and telehealth medication and therapy services.
