Hello, fellow Alamo Ranchers

Happy New Year y'all! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays.

I'm looking forward to a new year with everyone finishing some plans from last year and creating new goals this year for our wonderful community.

I don't present big changes to the board, but I hope the small changes we've made and the efforts we've made are noticed. The board tries hard to listen to the residents and act on their requests and comments. Keep the questions and comments coming, and we promise to listen.

The pool chiller will be functional in the coming weeks and will be turned on this summer, the Grant entrances will get their facelifts after winter, and the Pavillion and multi-purpose courts are in the last phases of planning. The board needs to approve an engineer and get the permits, and we will be good to break ground. It's been a long time coming, but I know the community will appreciate that we didn't do anything halfway.

The senior scholarship applications are open today until February 16th. We've had two wonderful donations from residents, along with the $1000 approved by the board to give a total of $4000 to be split into three awards. Please share the applications with your high school senior students. The committee is excited to read their answers! The application can be found here and in the newsletters for the next couple of months.

Manager Updates

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season and you're ready to start 2024 renewed and refreshed! For those who make New Year's Resolutions, good luck; you've got this!

2023 was a year full of projects to improve the aesthetics of Alamo Ranch and small operational changes to hopefully make things easier for the majority of residents. I am looking forward to working with the board on the Pavilion and sports court and watching those come to fruition. It's definitely been highly anticipated by many of you. This year, we are also looking at updating the amenity center landscaping to minimize water usage long term, as well as an interior facelift with a new paint job.

Our goal at the office is to provide you with consistent communication, excellent customer service, and up-to-date HOA education, all in an effort to give you the best HOA experience and foster a sense of community. Part of the office's job is to ensure that the community documents are followed by everyone residing in the Grants of Alamo Ranch. These documents are available on the website for your review at any time. We are here to answer any questions and provide guidance should you have any concerns. As a reminder, we can not provide information on anyone's account or where they may be in the compliance process. This is a privacy issue and can only be discussed with the homeowner.

A big thank you to our scholarship donors this year! Mr. Thompson of Williams Grant generously donated $2,000 in memory of his daughter Angel, who passed away while on active duty serving our country. The Alamo City Hive also donated $1,000 again this year, Lea Arndt from Dezavala Grant & LV Johnson. It's great seeing the community come together to help these seniors further their education.

First-quarter assessments are due now; they will be considered late if received after January 31st. In the office, we are able to accept payments in the form of checks or money orders. Otherwise, payments can be made online through the AAB website or through your financial institution's bill pay system.

Alamo Ranch Community Association is awarding three graduating high school students residing in the community a scholarship for their higher education purposes! Applicants must live within the ARCA boundaries and must fill out the application completely. Any incomplete applications will not be considered. The ARCA Scholarship Committee will evaluate all applications and score them according to a rubric.

When you or your business sponsors an event, you get shout-outs in our newsletters (pre and post-event); with a donation worth over $250, you have the opportunity to set up at the event and interact with the community one-on-one.

Stop by the clubhouse on Thursday, January 18th from 4:00pm-8:00pm for a bite of a German Classic!

Movie Night will be held on Friday, January 19th at the ARCA clubhouse with doors opening at 6:30. BYO snacks and blankets are encouraged!

HOA Assessments

Your HOA 1st Quarter Assessments for 2024 are now due on January 1, 2024.

Payments can be made at the office during regular business hours or can be dropped off in the after-hours drop box if after 5 PM via check, cashier's check, or money order (made out to ARCA).

Make sure to include your account number/ARCA address.

If you have questions regarding your account or need to set up a payment plan, please call the Association Office at 210-740-4976.

**REMINDER** We officially changed banks in August 2023. Please make sure you have made all necessary changes to your payments. Late fees will not be waived.
