Community Connection Spotlight:
Grow South, Grow Strong
On Jan. 21 , our staff enjoyed kicking off a new partnership through the "Grow South, Grow Strong" initiative. The Community Connection team will be expanding its services to reach more students through support groups and classroom services at John Neely Bryan Elementary School in Dallas ISD.

This collaborative initiative has been made possible thanks to: the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas , which underwrote the project; Cospero Consulting , which brought all the partners together; and The Educator Collective , which sponsored last week's program launch event.
You're Invited:
Our Children's Future Luncheon
You are cordially invited to the next Our Children's Future Luncheon , which will be held Thursday, Feb. 27 , from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Rainbow Days offices (8150 N. Central Expressway, Suite M1003, Dallas, TX 75206) .

At this informal "lunch and learn," you will enjoy lunch while hearing inspiring stories from program participants about the impact that Rainbow Days has had in their lives. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet board members, volunteers and staff and learn about how YOU can help Rainbow Days make a difference in the lives of children in our community.

Please RSVP to Sunni Roaten by Feb. 21. Guests are welcome!
Family Connection Highlight:
Six Flags Family Outing
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, Rainbow Days was blessed to receive hundreds of Six Flags “Holiday in the Park” tickets this December. Both the Family Connection and Community Connection teams were thrilled to share these tickets with children and families they serve throughout the year in partnering shelters, motels, schools and community centers.

On Dec. 21 , the Family Connection team held a special family outing for 23 children and parents from a local motel . For many of the families, this wonderful day at Six Flags was their first experience riding rollercoasters ! On top of the thrilling nature of the amusement park, this family outing helped create special holiday memories and promoted positive family bonding.

We are grateful to have made this possible for the children and families we serve!
