GardenShare Begins 2022 with Gratitude
A new year opens us to endless possibilities. As we continue in our work towards a just food system, we’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Without you, none of our work is possible. GardenShare is surrounded by incredible partners, enthusiastic volunteers and generous donors. Thank you for your generosity- whether you’ve given the gift of time, of thought or financial gift, we appreciate it.

We hope you’ll join us as we pursue some exciting new initiatives in 2022 to ensure our vision of healthy food, healthy farms, everybody eats.

Fond Farewells and Words of Welcome at the GardenShare Board
Change, as they say, is inevitable. For GardenShare, the retirement of two long-serving Board members marks, in many ways, the end of an era. Carol Pynchon and Sarah Bentley-Garfinkel have finished their terms on the GardenShare Board, each having provided inspiration, leadership and energy to the work of GardenShare. Many of us hold fond memories of working with Carol and Sarah, and it is rather impossible to describe the impact that they’ve had on GardenShare’s work and the difference they’ve made in our community. The GardenShare team wishes to say thank you and congratulations! While it is bittersweet to bid farewell to Sarah and Carol at the Board table, we are heartened and grateful that both will remain active volunteers with the organization, serving on the Outreach and Education Committee and the Development Committee, respectively.

Of course, Board renewal also gives us the chance to welcome new leaders as well. GardenShare is excited to welcome Katrina (Kat) Manierre and Martha Palmer to the Board in 2022. Each brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Board. We encourage you to learn more about them by checking out the “Meet the Board” section of our website- we’re certain you’ll be as impressed as we are!

This year's FEED BACK: Meeting in the Middle Food Justice Summit is taking place virtually on February 23rd and 24th, 2022. Craigardan is partnering with the new Adirondack Food System Network and the Adirondack Health Institute to present a rich, informative, and exciting event.
