PALSA at CHESS

This summer, July 12-14th, CHESS will host the third edition of Pan-American Light Sources for Agriculture, an international conference to showcase emerging applications and opportunities applying synchrotron radiation to the study of plants, soils, climate, food and nutrition, agriculture and other related topics.

Abstract submissions for contributed talks and posters is open now.
Registration will be open starting February 1st.
Call for proposals for Spring 2023_2

We are now accepting proposals to access the CHEXS (Center for High Energy X-ray Sciences at CHESS), MacCHESS (Macromolecular X-ray science at CHESS), and MSN-C (Materials Solutions Network at CHESS) beamlines during the April 26th to June 30 (2023_2) cycle.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, February 3rd.  
Inline small-angle X-ray scattering-coupled chromatography under extreme hydrostatic pressure

A new paper appearing in the journal “Protein Science” and authored by CHEXS-supported graduate student Robert Miller demonstrates for the first time that reproducible chromatographic separations coupled directly to high-pressure BioSAXS can be achieved at pressures up to at least 100 MPa.
Applications are open for Summer Engineering and Research for Community College Students @ CLASSE

We are inviting New York State community college students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents to apply for our Summer Engineering and Research for Community College Students (SERCCS) program. Through this program, students interested in a career in science, engineering, and technology have the opportunity to participate in research and development projects at the Center for High-Energy X-ray Sciences (CHEXS) at Cornell.
