Human Trafficking Prevention & Awareness Month
Although January is National Human Trafficking Prevention & Awareness Month, this heinous crime plagues our cities and neighborhoods every single day. It is critical for the safety and wellbeing of our children, youth and families that we shine a light on this issue bringing it out of the darkness, making it no longer invisible to the average person. Trafficked by her mom at age 11. Meet Savannah.
From our documentary, Invisible, Savannah shares her very personal and unimaginable experience of being trafficked for over a decade starting at 11 years. Today, Savannah is a Survivor Leader. She speaks nationally sharing her story and helping equip community members with the knowledge to help fight this egregious and heinous crime hiding in our neighborhoods.

In addition to education and awareness presentations, Place of Hope is fighting this egregious crime by providing high-quality case management, wrap around support services and housing for survivors of human trafficking. On average, Place of Hope is caring for nearly a dozen survivors each day across our footprint - both male and female, and adults and minors. Unfortunately, there are not many organizations providing these resources. #BeTheLight #JoinTheMovement and make a donation toward our Human Trafficking Education, Prevention and Support Services program.
Great Charity Challenge!
Did you hear the great news?! Place of Hope's sister entity, Villages of Hope, was selected as one of the participating charities in the 14th edition of the Great Charity Challenge taking place on Saturday, February 4 at Wellington International!

This is a fun family-friendly event for everyone! Come out and cheer on the riders as they compete to take first place in the Great Charity Challenge! Opening announcements begin at 6:40PM, followed by the first rider at 7PM!
