For every donation of $25 or more to Arts Alive! we will send $5 to support a project called The Art Table, run by Erin Sweeney. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for The Art Table to enable the project to expand beyond Peterborough to other tables across the region.

We have launched a survey! We need you and your local friends or customers to pARTicipate!
Anyone who completes the survey can elect to be entered in a drawing for a $100 gas card or $100 grocery card and participate in arts-centered focus groups. Any organization or business that shares this survey with their employees or mailing list will be listed on the Arts Alive! survey website. Will you participate in this worthy cause by doing the survey and then sending it to your community’s email list?

Arts Alive! works in partnership with The Hannah Grimes Center to present Artist to Artist workshops. These workshops cover what artists need to know to run successful businesses and lead successful creative practices.
We had our first session in January - all about Instagram success with musician Nanette Perotte. One participant said, "Incredibly informative and helpful! A+ workshop!"
There are monthly workshops through June 2021 - Arts Alive! members attend at half price!

Planning has begun on the 2021 ArtWalk in downtown Keene. Arts Alive! is honored to serve on the planning committee for this project.
During the annual artwalk, art in mediums such as oil, pastel, photography, watercolor, mixed media and more take over storefront windows to connect artists of all ages with the community of Keene and beyond. In past years, live painting, music events, and more have been available for the whole family during Art Walk.
Details will be forthcoming in coming weeks.

Will you be the one to turn the lights back on in this prime location in Downtown Peterborough?
The Depot Square Partnership is pleased to announce that it repurchased the Sharon Arts building in Peterborough! The Partnership felt that the space is important to the downtown's ongoing commercial revival. The Partnership does not yet have any specific plans for the space, and will discuss leasing options with any potential users for the 5440 sq. ft. Give a call to Pelagia Vincent at 603-203-4356 or email her!

stories from the pandemic

In this account, we hear from Katharina Rooney. She has been an art teacher at Keene State College since 1997, teaching Ceramics, Drawing, and Design Foundations. She studied art and design at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and ceramics at the Academy for Applied Arts in Vienna, completing graduate studies at the University of Illinois. Her ceramics, sculptures, and installations have been shown nationally and internationally and are in private collections and galleries. We first met her a few years ago, when she was selected for a Ewing Arts Award! We're proud to share this story from her.
