Mended Hearts
Jan. 6, 10 a.m. Mended Hearts hosts two speakers from the Bellingham Fire Department, who will discuss the EMS high-performance CPR program and answer questions. Meetings are free and open to the public.
Feb. 3, 10 a.m. Mended Hearts meeting features Karla Hall, PeaceHealth St. Joseph director of care management. Karla will clarify the differences between inpatient observation and outpatient stays in the hospital and how insurance affects each type of stay.

The Incredible Years Program
The Incredible Years Toddler Parenting Program is an 8-week series for parents and caregivers of children 1-3 years old. The first meeting happens Monday, Jan. 15 from 6-7:45 p.m. at the Children's Museum of Skagit County. Remaining sessions will be held online via Zoom, every Monday through March 11. Strengthening Families Program for Parents & Youth 10-14
There’s no manual for raising pre-teens & teens, but there is the evidence-based Strengthening Families Program for parents and youth aged 10-14. Meet with other local families over seven evenings to enhance communication, have fun, and build a healthy future together as a family. Dinner & childcare provided.

QPR Suicide Prevention Class
In "Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)," participants develop the skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Similar to CPR, QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention program that provides lifesaving knowledge and steps to help someone in crisis. The free online class happens 2:30-4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4 and noon-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20. It's open to anyone age 16 or older. Click to register.
Overdose Response Class
Learn the steps to recognize and respond to an overdose, including how to deliver naloxone (Narcan), the medication that reverses an opioid overdose. The free online class is available at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9 and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22. It will give you the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an overdose crisis.
