Happy New Year, dear friends of MMI!

We pray you had a restful and joyous holiday season. We’re back to start the new year with renewed passion and energy, and we have some important leadership changes we’re excited to announce. 

After many years of service to MMI as our fearless leader, board chairman Louie Martina has stepped down. While that is sad news, we are elated that he has agreed to remain on the board. If you see him around, give him an enthusiastic fist bump or high five and tell him how much he’s appreciated. 

Ralph Handly, OD, became MMI board chairman on December 1. In his years at MMI, he has managed the optical department, traveled with medical mission teams, managed MMI’s finances as the treasurer, acted as human resources, and even drove the forklift. If it needs to be done, he does it! Much gratitude to Dr. Ralph for taking on this important new role! 

We have more good news: a new board member! Our most recent board member is no stranger to MMI. Pastor Gary Hensley officially joined the board late last fall but has worked with board members and warehouse staff for years to develop and refine our custom inventory management system. Pastor Gary brings many skills and talents to MMI. He is a computer programmer, the pastor of Calvary Worship Center in Fresno, and has musical talents, too!
