Reflections from the Hill
Occasional Outreach from the Benedictine Sisters

Giving Thanks for Another New Year

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

We wish you and your loved ones a Blessed and Happy New Year!

We're thankful to Jaime, our maintenance director, and his assistant Emiliano, who decorated our grounds with Christmas lights, and added 2026 to the tower for all to to welcome the New Year!

In Memoriam

[Ring out, wild bells]

Lord, Alfred Tennyson

1809-1892

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light...

100 years old

and 100% in the spirit of the Christmas Season

Sister Mary Agnes Zinni, OSB, enjoyed a trip to our local H-E-B grocery store to pick up a few things right before the Christmas holiday.

We are so grateful for her bright and joyful spirit!

The Sisters and Co-ministers (staff) gathered for our annual tradition of a wonderful Christmas luncheon (catered by Angel Food catering), a gift exchange, and games at St. Scholastica Monastery.

It is always a treat to see dear ones from all of the Sisters' ministries in Boerne, San Antonio, and Eagle Pass join in this special time together!
