January 2024 Updates from LPEA
Dear Member,

LPEA has kicked off 2024 focused on power supply. LPEA continues to pursue multiple contract options with Tri-State, which currently supplies LPEA with 95% of the electricity we deliver to our members under a contract that runs through 2050. These options include obtaining more flexibility in the current contract, a partial exit, or a full exit.

LPEA has hired an independent energy consulting firm to create a power supply action plan to analyze power markets and potential opportunities that may be available to LPEA. We will work with the third-party group to envision what a feasible energy portfolio could look like, including new, local generation opportunities and expanded community partnerships.

LPEA expects to have preliminary proposals for public input as early as Fall 2024. The LPEA membership and community will receive more information at that time.

Lights blinking during a storm? It's ok and here's why.
If members experience a few blinks, it’s not necessary to call LPEA. While blinking lights can be a nuisance, they show that LPEA's systems are functioning properly to protect the overall distribution system.
Shift Today, Save Tomorrow With the Time-of-Use Rate
