Jubilee 2025, Pilgrims of Hope

Holy Door

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved” John 10:9

Crossing the threshold of the Holy Door into the church is a symbolic passing from this world into the presence of God.

Elements of the Holy Year

Pilgrimage

“I am the way the truth and the life” John 14:6

Pilgrimage is an image of discipleship. We are on a journey with Christ towards His Kingdom. We are pilgrims of Hope in salvation. A pilgrimage is an actual journey to visit holy places, seeking to grow in faith and become a better Christian. Pilgrimage is part of the richness of our Catholic history: Abraham and Moses, the shepherds and wise men, the women to the empty tomb of Christ. We aim to move from sightseeing to pilgrimage by including education, spirituality, and a sense of Christian community to our excursions.

Father Daniel Peirano, pastor of St. Thomas More Parish, Manalapan, and Msgr. Sam Sirianni, rector of St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, were among the priests to concelebrate the Mass for the Solemnity of the Epiphany with Pope Francis in St. Peter Basilica.
