2002年以来、ベルビューコミュニティーは私たちの地域の望む高い品質を維持できるよう、学校施設を再構築および改造することにより、生徒と学校を支援して来ました。ベルビュー学区では、2020年2月11日（火）の選挙で、学校の老朽化、安全性の向上および継続的な成長に対応するための教室スペースの追加に関するニーズに応えるため、債券（Capital Bond)を検討するようコミュニティーに求めます。BHS PTSAはこの債券発行を支持しています。

Golden Acorn賞に推薦して下さい。毎年PTSAは、Bellevue High Schoolの生徒およびコミュニティーに模範的な奉仕を行ったボランティアにGolden Acorn賞を贈っています。
- Golden Acorn賞は、地元のPTSAが模範的で卓越したボランティア活動と奉仕に対して与える名誉あるワシントン州PTAの賞です。
- この賞はワシントン州PTAに記録されます。各受賞者には州のオフィスから金のピンと証書が贈られ、記念銘板にその名前が刻まれます。この賞は非常に特別で、学校コミュニティーに奉仕する時間、専門知識およびエネルギーを最も多く費やしているボランティアを称える素晴らしい方法です。

教師への感謝のためのランチ会（TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON）
12年生が教師への感謝のためのランチ会"Molto Amore" （たくさんの愛：イタリア語）を主催します。
2月12日（水）のスタッフへの感謝のためのランチ会"Molto Amore" で、12年生が素晴らしいスタッフへの愛を示す時が来ました！12年生の皆様、手作りのお料理を持って来て、家族のお気に入りのレシピを素晴らしいスタッフと共有しましょう。"Amore"（愛：イタリア語）で満たされた美味しいお料理を提供することで、スタッフが私たちにとってどれだけ大切fであるかを示しましょう！
PACに午前11時〜12時までの間に、使い捨て容器（サイズは10.5"x 8"で、12人前以上の分量）に入れてお料理を持参して下さい。食器は必要ありません。必要に応じて、メインオフィスに食べ物を置いて行ってもかまいません。ランチ会中に食べ物を温かく保つ蒸気保温トレイをいくつかご用意します。
前もって12年生に感謝いたします！

WSPTAエッセイコンテスト（WSPTA Essay Contest）

Bellevue Wolverine Athletic Update from this past weekend....February 8th, 2020
Bellevue Cheer Team placed 2nd place overall at the 3A WIAA State Championship Meet in the Game Day category!!! The team travels to Anaheim, California this coming weekend for the USA Spirit National Championship event competing in the Game Day and Traditional categories.
Wrestlers grappled at the Sub Regional Tournament on Friday and Saturday and Bogdan Manzar emerged as Bellevue's qualifier to continue the journey to State at next weekends Regional tournament at Kelso High School on Feb. 15th. Also being entered to the Regional tournament as alternates are Hiruy Bezalem, Joe Wampler and Jack Brooks.
After a tough loss to Mercer Island High School on Friday, our Girls Basketball team was forced into a three way tie for the final two spots into the 3A Kingco Basketball tournament with Interlake and Mercer Island. On Saturday evening, Bellevue rebounded from the night before against Mercer Island defeating the Islanders 27-24 to advance to Tuesdays tournament opener against Interlake High School at 3:30pm @ Sammamish High School. Immediately following the Girls game, our Boys Basketball team will play against Lake Washington High School at 5:00pm. The winner of these games will automatically advance to the Seaking District Tournament!
Our Boys Swimming and Diving finished 5th
place overall in the only Kingco Championship event in our Conference that is a true All Classification Championship event with ALL seventeen schools in Kingco competing. The Swim & Dive team continue the lane to State with the Seaking 3A Championship meet this coming Friday & Saturday at Mary Wayte Pool on Mercer Island. Individuals and relays that qualified for the A Finals
(top six from preliminary heats) were:

BHS Boys Swim & Dive: Looking Ahead...3A District Championship and MOD Fundraiser
Last Week's Highlights: Busy week for the boys with KingCo Prelim and Final!! Congratulations to all wolverines who competed in KingCo over last Friday and Saturday...many more personal best records and district/state qualifiers. Boys achieved 5
th place with a total of 311 points!!
- 400F Relay (Gordon K, Tristan H, Zachary H, Brian L) finished 1st with an amazing time record 3:11.09!!
- 200Medley Relay (Gordon K, Philip H, Brian L, Alex H) achieved a state time 1.38.42;
- Zachary H seized 4th in 200F with a 3A state time 1.45.73 and 2nd in 100Fly with a 3A state time 51.21;
- Philip H grabbed 4th place in 200IM with a 3A time 1.58.05 and 7th in 100BR with a 4A state time 58.64;
- Brian Lee, 7th in 50F with a 3A state time 21.72, and a record breaking 3A time 49.68 in 100 Fly;
- Gordon K finished 7th in 100F with a 3A state time 48.12;
- Tristan H finished 7th in 100B with a 4A state time 53,48.

BHS DRILL TEAM
The Bellevue Drill Team went to Tahoma this past week to compete in both the kick and military categories, getting our highest score yet in military and qualifying for districts in both routines! Our next competition will be at Capital High School on February 29 and then districts at Mount Si High School on March 7. Come watch us and so many other amazing teams dance at our next competition!

Girls Spring Ultimate Frisbee
We are excited to be starting the Girls Spring season soon! Practices start at the end of this month. The season runs March to May.
We welcome newcomers to the sport. Ultimate is a unique and popular sport. Competition is important, but never over the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.

Come out and support the Girls' Varsity Basketball team as they take on Interlake in the first round of the 3A Kingco Tournament. The game is at 3:30pm at Sammamish High School.
If they win, there will be another game at 7:00pm on Thursday at Sammamish HS to determine Kingco 3A 2
nd and 3
rd place, followed by the 3A SeaKing Tournament beginning this weekend.

WINTER OPEN FIELD OPPORTUNITIES
Looking for a way to stay fit and healthy?
We have a lot of opportunity to do so this winter, January through the end of February.
After school each day the main stadium with have conditioning groups or groups of students that will play student organized games (soccer, lacrosse, etc.) The groups will be supervised by athletics staff, no coaching, just having someone present on the site.
In the main stadium these groups will commence Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm at the latest.
On Wednesdays the Softball field will be open for students that would like to use that field from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.

| ボランティアの機会：SCIENCE EDUCATORS IN TRAINING
Seattle, West Seattle, Bothell, Bellevue, MedinaおよびKirklandなどのPuget Sound地域で開催されるPacific Science CenterのサマーキャンプのScience Educators in Training（ トレーニング中のサイエンスエデュケーター、以下SETと略す）（およびSETのリーダー）のボランティア。SETは、キャンプのエデュケーターのお手伝いをしたり、STEMをテーマにしたキャンプであらゆる年齢のキャンプ参加者と協力し、夏季に最低60時間ボランティアをします。SETをすることで、キャリア探求の機会、リーダーシップの経験、ボランティア時間の認定が得られ、またPacific Science Centerのパスをもらえます。

チーム日本語ブラスト TEAM JAPANESE BLAST!
日本の文化、アニメに興味があったり、日本語のクラスを取っていて日本語がわかるなら、Team Japanese Blastに参加しませんか？Team Japanese Blastは、保護者と生徒のボランティアからなるグループで、PTSAのニュースレターBlastを日本語に翻訳しています。
翻訳の時間は、卒業要件のボランティア時間として認められます。

このニュースレターの上部にあるリンクをクリックすると、いつでもニュースレターを入手できます。学生の卒業クラスに必ずサインアップしてください。また、ニュースレターの下部にある登録解除ボタンをクリックして、いつでも登録解除できます。
記事の提出 - 1週間のベルビューブラストエディション Blastは火曜日の朝に週1回配信されます。記事の提出期限は次のとおりです：
- 学校のニュースとPTSAの記事 - 締め切り金曜日
- スポーツ（Athletics）および課外活動（Activities）に関する記事 - 締め切り日曜日
- 記事の提出は、電子メールメッセージの本文またはWord文書のプレーンテキストで行う必要があります。
- 提出された記事は、PTSAの裁量で受け入れ、拒否、または編集される場合があります。
- 記事毎に個別のメールで提出して下さい。
- 記事のタイトルを件名に含めて下さい。
- JPEGまたはPNGファイルとして、画像を含めることができます。
- 金曜日/日曜日以降に提出された記事は、その週の火曜日の号には掲載されず、次の週の号での掲載となります。
