Club Events This Week:

New Website for a New Season!
That's the new JCS website above. We think you will find it more attractive and much easier to find what you are looking for. One new feature is a blue navigation menu bar that never disappears from the top of the page. There's also an Events Calendar that shows you what's happening a month at a glance. Some sections are still being developed. Enjoy!
Any suggestions?

Covid-19: A Different Response
Unvaccinated Hit Hard By Delta Variant!
As infectious and dangerous as the Delta variant is, this isn't eighteen or even twelve months ago. More than 60% of the adult population of Sarasota and Manatee counties is well protected. It's vaccinated! Very, very few of them are among the seriously sick or hospitalized. The state has reported that in recent weeks many more people are becoming vaccinated.
The Show Will Go On, But With Requirements.

We are planning between 90 to l00 performances over the next twelve months. Most are familiar, some are new. Some large, some small. Some inside, some outside. Each situation is different, and so the requirements will be adjusted to fit the event. In general, we will implement well established safety protocols erring on the side of caution. When the performance space requires strict precautions, we will be strict. We don’t expect everyone will always agree with our requirements.
Here’s the bottom line:
  1. We don’t want anyone to get seriously sick because they attended a Jazz Club performance.
  2. Unvaccinated people are at a much greater risk of getting seriously ill.
  3. We don’t want anyone, vaccinated or unvaccinated, to attend one of our events if they feel uncomfortable about their exposure to risk.

Visitors to the Jazz Club Office are Require to Wear Masks To Enter. Thank You.

Five Year Strategic Plan to be Announced and Published
The Jazz Club Board of Directors recently approved a plan for growth and improvement over the next five years.

We intend to time the publication and public announcement of the plan to coincide with the start of our new season - September 1, 2021, but We Need Your Help.

The cost of printing this 20 page report with enough copies to distribute in all the right places is substantial.
$3,000 Challenge Grant Provided
One of our members has generously offered a challenge or matching grant to support this effort. They will match the donations of others up to $3,000. If we are fully successful we would raise $6,000. Please help by making a donation of any amount now by clicking the button below or by mailing a check to the Jazz Club Office: JCS, 330 S. Pineapple Ave, Sarasota , FL 34236. Please write Challenge Grant on the check.
Thank you!
