| Summer Streets Returns to Manhattan | Summer Streets returns to Manhattan on Saturdays, August 1, 8, and 15, transforming more than 20 miles of city streets into a car-free playground for walking, biking, running, and recreation. From 7:00am to 3:00pm, the route will stretch from the Brooklyn Bridge to Dyckman Street, including Broadway between West 110th Street and Dyckman Street, with free fitness classes, live performances, art installations, public art, and family-friendly activities taking place along the way. Join the NYPD and City officials on Tuesday, August 4, for National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and strengthens relationships between neighbors and law enforcement.
The 20th Precinct's event will take place at Verdi Square (Broadway between West 72nd and West 73rd Streets) from 6:00pm–8:00pm (the Lincoln Square BID will be there!), while the Central Park Precinct and Transit District 1 will host their event at the entrance to Central Park at Columbus Circle from 4:00pm–7:00pm.

Due to Con Edison gas work, West 64th Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue will be closed to through traffic Monday through Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm, now through Friday, July 31.
Con Edison is performing a Gas Upgrade on West 68th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, with work expected through Wednesday, September 30. Please expect limited street parking, temporary lane/bike lane closures, noise, and generator(s). The work schedule is as follows: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The reference number is 26-03335.
