Harvest Banner
Greetings!

Thanks for taking the time to check out our newsletter!   The glorious autumn colors are beginning to spread throughout south central Indiana and the drive along State Route 135 is as delightful as ever.  This is the perfect opportunity to make a stop at Jeepers and check out our quaint Morgantown if you haven't yet done so.  It's hard to believe that we will be in Morgantown a year come November.  Stop by and say hi!

Did you know that October is National Dollhouse Month?  The timing is perfect for acquiring a new dollhouse or renovating an old one just in time for Christmas.  Think what a wonderful gift a new or heirloom dollhouse would make and the hours of creativity and fun it will inspire!
Museum Show
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table at the Museum Show at St. Luke's in September!  We're looking forward to the show again next year.  As always, it is a wonderful little show and our pleasure to bring a little of our shop to you!

Loaf & Ladle
Loaf & Ladle
Join us on October 15th as we create a 1/4 scale secret book entitled Loaf & Ladle, a cookbook for soups and bread.  Upon completion of this one-day workshop you will have created a delightful room in a book sleeve.  Under the supervision of Patricia Angrick, you will create a baking rack and all of the accessories shown on our website as well as build and decorate the book sleeve and room.

The kit and all materials are provided.  When you register for the workshop, we'll let you know what supplies and tools we recommend you bring along.  Be sure to bring a sack lunch as we'll be building all day!  Workshop begins at 10:30 am and costs $32.  Call the shop at 812-597-4346 or register online.
Jane's Open House
I'm sure you have already marked your calendars, but just in case you forgot, Jane Graber's open house is Saturday, October 8th.  If you need the address, just call the shop or drop me a line.

Lighting Alternative

Battery Operated ChandelierOne of our most popular sellers at the Museum Show was our battery operated lamps.  We carry the entire line, which includes floor lamps, table lamps, ceiling fixtures, chandeliers, yard lamps, sconces, coach lights and ceiling fans.  The battery operated lamps are a great way to add light to an older dollhouse or roombox.  We've found that many people use them to add lighting in hard-to-reach spots as well.  While we do suggest wiring your dollhouse with a 12-volt system, the battery lamps are a good option for a child's dollhouse until he or she is ready for the more permanent lighting.  Each light comes with a spare battery and are equipped with LED bulbs providing a long life.

If you haven't seen the lighting alternatives yet, be sure to stop by the shop or check out our website, where you can see the entire line.  New fixtures are being added so make sure you check back from time to time!

Basic Wiring Class

Light BulbThe last basic wiring class before Christmas is Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:30 am. The class will last about 2 hours. Registration is required by November 11, 2011.  Call, click, or stop in to register.

Learn the basics of wiring with the tapewire system. In this class you will learn to plan your wiring layout for a dollhouse or roombox, make connections, and install a lamp. This hands-on class will provide you the knowledge and experience to wire your next project.  The timing for this class is perfect if you are planning on wiring a dollhouse for Christmas.

Basic wiring classes are offered every other month at Jeepers, alternating weekdays and weekends.

Feel free to contact us with any questions on these or other topics.  We're happy to help. We can be reached at 812-597-4346.

Sincerely,
