2020 Roll-off/Brush & Bulky Schedule
Your JP neighborhood association schedules roll-offs at four sites three times a year. In addition, City of Tucson schedules two Brush and Bulky pickups annually. For those of you who really like to plan ahead here's the 2020 schedule:
February 24 - Brush and Bulky
April 2 - Roll Offs
May 14 - Roll-offs
August 31 - Brush and Bulky
December 11 - Roll-offs
Gateway Signs for Jefferson Park in 2020!
Special thanks to Carly Quinn Designs who donated half the cost of the signs!!
After many discussions, two proposals, much effort on the part of neighbors, and $2180 in private donations, the project is moving ahead! 2020 will see beautiful signs at both entrances from Campbell.
Thank you area representatives!
Every resident received a door hanger and a census information flyer this last week. I met an area rep by chance distributing the door hangers yesterday. She was tired!

The folks who printed, stapled, and sorted spent 11 man hours. Six area representatives times 2.5 equals an additional 15 hours. The neighbor who set up the design for printing and those who edited probably another 5 hours.

Total 31 hours and that is a conservative estimate. If you can help your area rep by walking your block, sign up at the annual meeting. It is a great way to meet your neighbors and get exercise!

Spring means April Plant Swap/Sale!
Get ready for the April Plant Sale/Swap. Pot now from your shoots and sprouts.  Any extra gardening tools, pots, bags of soil, yard art etc. would also be a great addition to the sale.
Hey gardeners, send us pictures of your garden and we will publish in this E-news jdchama@msn.com.
Jefferson Park has many beautifully landscaped yards, so share yours (no address published).
PARKING LOT RACETRACK - NO MORE!
Neighbors near Vine and Linden were subjected to dangerous night time activities. Someone was using the parking lot as a racetrack, speeding in circles and skidding and screeching into the early morning hours.

Of course, the church had no idea what was happening. Neighbors contacted JPNA who approached the Bishop and described the night time problems. Bishop Hoefferle came up with a solution right away! Concrete bumpers now divide the parking lot. Many thanks for the quick solution!! This lovely church is a great neighbor!
