What to Bring - Daily Checklist


___     Backpack (labeled)

___     Healthy lunch with utensils (labeled and dated, no glass) – Nothing that will need refrigeration, preparation, cutting, heating, or microwaving

___     1 or 2 snacks (labeled and dated, no glass) - we strongly encourage sending in two snacks, kids get hungry at camp!

___     Water bottle (labeled)

___     Sunscreen (labeled)

___     Swim suit (labeled) – on pool/water play days only

___     Towel (labeled) – on pool/water play days only

___     Plastic bag for wet items (labeled) – on pool/water play days only

___     Poncho or rain jacket on wet days (labeled)

___     Sweatshirt or light jacket on cool days (labeled)

___     Sneakers, athletic shoes, or closed-toe shoes for outdoor play

___     Old shoes on muddy days

___     Hat on sunny days (labeled)

___     Additional set of clothing if needed (required for Funland campers)

___     Mask

___     Any additional items required for special activities or field trips (i.e. camp t-shirt)

On hot days:

Please arrive WEARING a swim suit and bring a towel and plastic bag for wet items. We will participate in water activities to keep cool! Check our Facebook page for reminders.

If your child is REGISTERED for swimming (meaning you registered and paid via RecTrac):

Please arrive on Mondays and Fridays by 8:45am WEARING a swim suit and bring a towel and plastic bag for wet items.

___     Check your child near area by door 3 in parking lot on Oakvale

___     Let Camp Director, desk monitor, or counselor know of any concerns or special circumstances for the day (ie. child being picked up early)

Space is limited - first come, first serve. There are currently spots remaining for all field trips - very limited remaining for BAMF! Please read rules and restrictions carefully. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE BEAVER ISLAND FIELD TRIP NEXT WEEK.

Beaver Island Field Trip Info

If you registered & paid for your child to attend the Beaver Island field trip on Wednesday, July 14, they MUST arrive no later than 8:45am WEARING their swimsuit UNDER their CAMP T-SHIRT.


Pack the following in a small backpack – LABEL EVERYTHING:


·   Brown bag lunch (no refrigeration available)

·   2 snacks

·   Water bottle

·   Sunscreen

·   Bug spray

·   Hat

·   Towel

·   Plastic bag for wet items


We expect to return to Jefferson around 3:00pm.

Double Check Your Calendar

Our camp is FULL! Make sure you are registered for the weeks you need, and cancel any weeks you have vacation/family plans. Sorry we can't accommodate "drop-ins." Any cancellations or enrollment changes made after June 1 will incur a $25 administrative fee.

Cancellation Policy

If you are registered for a week of camp that you need to cancel, you must let us know at least ten full business days in advance. For example: If your child is registered for the week of July 26, you must notify us by 8:00am on Monday, July 12 in order to receive a refund. If you do not give us two weeks’ notice we will NOT be able to offer a refund, as we have to schedule our staff and activities and pay for field trips in advance based on enrollment. All cancellations must be made through the Youth, Parks & Recreation office (831-1001). Any cancellations or enrollment changes made after June 1 will incur a $25 administrative fee.

Immunization & Physical Records - Including COVID-19 Vaccinations

Please turn these into us ASAP if you have not already done so, along with the Online Camper Pre-Registration Form

If your child has received a COVID-19 vaccination, we also need a record of this. You can send us a copy or photo of their vaccination card.

You can email your forms to us at, fax them to us at 831-1006, or mail/drop off to 299 Decatur Road.

CDC Summer Camp Guidelines/Recommendations We Will Be Following At Camp:

  • Masks encouraged when indoors if not eating or drinking, if not fully vaccinated.
  • Unvaccinated staff, visitors, and parents/guardians should wear a mask while at camp. Fully vaccinated staff and adults are encouraged to model mask wearing when campers are encouraged to wear masks.
  • If vaccinated, we should have proof of vaccination on file.
  • Outside parent drop-off/pick-up - no parents inside
  • Group size limits still apply; stable groups with limited mingling
  • Shared supplies & equipment will be limited - cleaning & sanitizing between uses
  • Field trip options are limited - hiking, buy-outs - no interaction with public

Collecting Recyclables!

If you have any empty paper towel/toilet paper rolls and empty water bottles you can bring in for projects, we’d appreciate it!
