Jenn Shurkus Class Registration Begins Tomorrow (Tuesday!)

Welcome Back Jenn Shurkus!

We are delighted to welcome Jenn Shurkus back to the Clubhouse on Saturday, September 13! Many of you know Jenn from her adorable cards and Copic coloring classes, but did you know she's a mixed media instructor, too?

Mixed Media In Season Workshop

Whether you’re brand new to mixed media or looking for tried-and-true techniques you can count on, this class is for you!

Together we’ll explore how to create gorgeous texture, depth, and color using just a handful of supplies—proving that less really can be more. You’ll leave inspired with magical results that are vibrant, touchable, and oh-so-yummy!

Jenn is offering two sessions on Saturday so that more people can participate. And don't worry, there will be plenty of time to shop before and after each class!

Choose your session:

Saturday, 9/13, 10am-1pm OR Saturday, 9/13, 2pm-5pm

Class is $55 and includes a custom Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz stamp set* (a $25 value!) as well as a pack of Distress Watercolor Cardstock!

Students must bring the following supplies to class:

A set of Distress Watercolor Pencils (Jenn will be using all 6 sets of Distress Watercolor Pencils, however you will be able to create magic with just one, since Ranger/Tim Holtz have curated each set with a good variety of colors in each set. Feel free to bring more than one if you have it.)
Brown Distress Ink (Not Oxide. Jenn will be using Frayed Burlap, but any brown will do.)
Ink Blending Tool and domed foam
Paint Brush (Jenn recommends Ranger Artist Brushes, we will use Round no 4 and round no 6)
Container for water (a larger container will be best)
Distress Sprayer
Piece of Plastic - pliable, so you will be able to flex it. (Worst case you can use the packaging from the Distress Watercolor Cardstock provided)
4x3 acrylic block (larger is ok)
Flour Sack Cloth
Foam squares
Foam Strips
Distress Collage Medium in the 2 oz.bottle

Optional Supplies:

Paper Distresser
Tiny Attacher
Distress Rock Candy, in a container ready to sparkle

All of the supplies that students need to bring will be restocked and available for purchase at the Clubhouse by the end of this week. Please feel free to place an order online for pickup or call us with your wish list and we can have everything waiting for you the day of class. We need your support so that we can continue to bring you fabulous guest instructors!

Registration begins tomorrow, Tuesday, 8/26 at 10am. You can register in person at the store, online (please note the links in our calendar will not be activated until tomorrow morning at 10am), or by calling 860-399-4443. Class must be paid for at the time of registration.

Please note our class cancellation policy for Jenn's visit: Cancellations received before the close of business on Saturday, 9/6/25 will receive a refund in the form of store credit only. Classes are non-refundable after 9/6/25 unless we can fill your seat from a wait list. IF we are able to fill your seat you will receive a refund in store credit only.

*Students who attended Jenn's 2023 Creative Journey Art Retreat received this stamp set. If you bring it to class with you we will give you a $10 store credit to use on merchandise the day of class.
