Jerry's Tech Tips
Zoom is glitching, but is it really your bandwidth? Zoom uses lots of computer resources. If you see zoom freezing or acting funny, check a few things:
  1. Check your upload AND download speed by going to https://www.speedtest.net/.Those numbers are measured in Megabits per Second (Mbps). Believe it or not, zoom doesn't use much bandwidth! It only uses about 2 Mbps of bandwidth (for incoming and outgoing video).  Your download will likely be over 50 Mbps and upload should be higher than 15 or so Mbps. If it is less than that, you could have an issue
  2. Go to Chrome and close out all those extra tabs. Chrome also uses a ton of computer resources and your computer really might just be taxed as far as memory and CPU usage. This is likely the problem! Close out any extra programs where possible
  3. If you still have a problem, call the district IT support:
