Jamie Foxx

Jaime Foxx is already an Oscar winner, but this next role could be his most important yet. The actor/comedian/singer is poised to play Martin Luther King, Jr. in an Oliver Stone directed biopic on the late Civil Rights leader.

The DreamWorks/ Warner Brothers production will present
MLK's life going from an Atlanta preacher to national figure to his 1968 assassination. King's children, Dexter King, Bernice King and Martin Luther King III, are reportedly on board as executive producers. Steven Spielberg is also attached as a producer. The script was written by Kario Salem (The ScoreChasing Mavericks). Salem's screenplay is based on three years of research and interviews. Several other MLK biopics have been in the works over the years, but the DreamWorks film is the only one endorsed by the King family.

Michael Strahan & Nicole Murphy Eye $25M Manhattan Penthouse
Nicole Murphy & Michael Strahan

According to reports, Michael Strahan and fiancee Nicole Murphy are eyeing a $25 million New York City penthouse. The lovebirds are currently renting a $20 million apartment in Beverly Hills, but are planning to upgrade and relocate to the East coast. This would be a convenient move for Michael, seeing how his current co-hosting gig on ABC's "Live! With Kelly and Michael" is directly across the street. Sources say the 150 Columbus Ave penthouse is 5,500 square feet with 10 rooms, including five bedrooms. Michael is best known for his 15-year career with the New York Giants, and Nicole, Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, is an executive producer and star on VH1's "Hollywood Exes."

Jermaine Jackson Wages Garnished For Child Support

According to TMZ on Oct. 8, the very day Jermaine Jackson bought a $160,000, 2009 Ferrari, his wages were garnished because he was behind on his child support. According to official documents, Jackson's ex-wife, Alejandra Jackson, went to court and obtained an order for the government to withhold $3,750 from his wages. She has been having problems getting regular monthly child support payments of $3,000 a month plus $750 past due fees. The order also allows the government to garnish future wages.

Jermaine has also been dragged in and out of court over child support monies that he supposedly owes Alexandra. She alleges that the deadbeat Dad gave her only $5,621 for the calendar year from April 2012 through April 2013.

Alejandra isn't the only one fuming at Jermaine. His mom Katherine Jackson is also reportedly angry at him for paying $70K in cash for a $90K trade in on his Rolls Royce when he couldn't pay his bills. It has been reported that Katherine has been bailing him out and helping her former daughter-in-law to take care of her grandchildren.

Alejandra has two teen sons with Jermaine and two children with his brother, Randy. It was reported in 2012 that Randy owed Alexandra over $500,000 in back child support.

Floyd Mayweather's Side Girlfriend Robs Him

It's recently been reported that 50 Cent and his friend Floyd Mayweather had a falling out. Ever since, 50 has been throwing Floyd under the bus every chance he gets, and the most recent incident has played out on Instagram for the world to see.

To give a little back story, Floyd split with his girlfriend Shantel Jackson earlier this year and began dating a girl by the name of Princess Love. 50 Cent definitely wasn't feeling the new chick, and continued to post on Instagram that Princess was fooling around with Ray J too, who also used to run with Floyd and the money team. [Nicki Minaj actually blew the lid off of this whole thing without knowing when she Instagrammed a video of Ray J with Princess' two Maltese dogs this summer (This is crazy!!)]

According to Larry Brown Sports, one of Mayweather's homes was robbed the night of his Sept. 14 fight against Canelo Alvarez. Our source says about eight Rolex watches, close to $10,000 cash, and some other items were stolen from the home. Mayweather owns multiple properties in the Las Vegas area, and we're told the home that was robbed is where Princess Love was staying.

Princess Love apparently tried pinning the burglary on one of her friends, but Floyd got in contact with that woman. The woman spilled to Floyd that Princess organized the robbery. She also apparently told Floyd that Princess was having an affair with Ray J, which is the first Mayweather learned of the relationship.

How did the woman know about Princess and Ray J hooking up? We're told she was with Princess in Miami a few months ago, which is when Princess and Ray J began sleeping together.

Of course, 50 Cent is having a field day with all of this and has been throwing subliminal shade at Floyd on Instagram for the past two weeks.  Princess Love must not be very clever to only steal $10k from a man worth millions.

Grammy-winning singer Lauryn Hill released from federal prison; releases single; writes letter to fans; announces tour

Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill walked free from a federal low-security all-female prison in Danbury, Connecticut last Friday (10/4), according to federal prison records. The 38-year-old Grammy-winning artist had been incarcerated for the past three months for failing to pay federal income taxes. She'd also been ordered to pay penalties and the taxes she owed. Her lawyer, Nathan Hochman, confirmed Hill has since fully paid her taxes, as well as the fact she started her court-ordered three months of home confinement and a year of supervised probation on Friday.

On the same day of her release from prison, Hill released a new song called "Consumerism" via her official Tweeter feed. Subtitled "Part One: Letters From Exile," the new fast-moving track takes shots at "ageism, sexism, racism, fascism and neo-McCarthyism" as well as "corporate greed in Jesus' name." MTV news stated that the song was started before her incarceration and was finished through a series of phone calls while she was in prison.

The former Fugees star and solo artist has sold 16 million albums over the course of her career. Hill pleaded guilty last year to three counts of failing to file tax returns on more than $1.8 million between 2005 and 2007. According to the prosecutor, the sentence she eventually faced also took "into account additional income and tax losses for 2008 and 2009 -- when she also failed to file federal returns -- along with her outstanding tax liability to the state of New Jersey, for a total income of approximately $2.3 million and total tax loss of approximately $1,006,517."

Despite her commercial success, Hill told U.S. Magistrate Judge Madeline Cox Arleo in May that she lives "very modestly" and claimed that most of the money from her music went to other people. Hill insisted that she planned to pay her taxes, it was just a question of when. But, at her sentencing, the judge reminded the singer that individual citizens don't get to decide when they pay the government.

On October 8th, less than a week after she was released from prison, Hill posted what she called a "Letter of Recognition" to her Tumblr page. The letter began with the singer thanking "everyone who wrote letters and sent packages and books." Hill expressed that if her experience encouraged others to keep going despite their problems, then the prison stay was worth it. After the letters closing, Hill went on to list many, many people who encouraged and supported her. She gave them a "thank you" as well.

It was revealed this week that Lauryn Hill will go on tour from November 15th through December 31st. Due to her sentence the singer will have to get approval from her probation officer for each tour stop and when the tour is done she will have to serve the remainder of her home restriction.
