Advocacy
Myth Buster!
Is a Chamber of Commerce apart of the local city government?
No, we are not a division of the city of state government. The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit membership-based business.
What does a chamber do?
A chamber helps strengthen the local businesses community through competitiveness in economic growth. This includes providing businesses that are Chamber members the following: Credibility, opportunity, networking, visibility and, advocacy.
|
|
Advocacy includes keeping our members informed on local, state and federal issues that affect the business community. This is achieved through partnerships with the
Idaho Chamber Alliance and the
US Chamber of Commerce. We provide information to our members so that they can make informed decisions regarding voting on bills and other issues that affect the business community.
We will be introducing a new section in this newsletter called “Did you know…” this is where we will keep you up-to-date on bills and issues that the Idaho Chamber Alliance is following. Be sure to check the newsletter,
sign up is free.

|
One of the many jobs of the Chamber of Commerce is advocacy, it is our job to keep the members informed of important legislative issues that affect the Business Community. Stay tuned for a new segment both here and on the website keeping your abreast of today's issues.
