National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which aims to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. Throughout the month, on our Disability Programs Facebook page, we will be educating on disability employment and the role we play in making sure every individual has the opportunity to succeed in the region’s workforce.

Our website has been refreshed! All of our programs now have their own page, and we've added more color and improved the functionality. The website is fully compatible across all devices and is a great way to learn all about Jersey Cape.

Cape May Community Food Closet Fall Fundraiser Flagship Sponsor

We had a great time attending the Cape May Community Food Closet's Fall Fundraiser as the Flagship sponsor! Our $5,000 donation will help to make a difference in the ongoing battle against food insecurity in the greater Cape May area. We are honored to be dedicated to the success of our community, and we thank the Food Closet for their continued dedication toward serving those in need.

Day Program Adventures

The Day Program has been out and about exploring many of South Jersey's unique attractions and establishments! This includes local parks, the Ocean City Boardwalk, the Ocean City Airport, and the Cape May County Zoo!

Day Program Creations For Sale

Our Day Program has created several beautiful arts & crafts items through upcycling, and you can purchase them direct from our website and we will ship them to you! Pieces include decor, practical items, and more! Sales directly support our 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit corporation's disability, youth, and workforce development programs.

Program Spotlight

HELLO

HELLO, which stands for Hospitality Education Leading to Local Opportunities, is an out-of-school nationally recognized hospitality credential program that offers youth age 16 to 24 the opportunity to explore various industry-related professions and obtain credentials in areas of local demand. Participants will earn the Certified Guest Service Professional credential and can also choose to earn the Certified Front Desk Representative, Certified Restaurant Server, Certified Kitchen Cook, Certified Breakfast Attendant, Certified Guestroom Attendant, or Certified Maintenance Employee credentials.
