Celebrating 10 years of “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday

On Sunday, Sept. 10, congregations of the ELCA will join together for our 10th annual day of service. “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday began in 2013 in connection with the ELCA’s 25th anniversary and continues to be a day to celebrate who we are — one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. As you explore opportunities to participate in your community, ELCA.org/DayofService

Application packages for the Wurffel Fund College Loan/Scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year have been emailed out to all parish pastors.

Applications with pastor recommendations are due back no later than July 1st.

Jehu Jones Mission Fund Grant

The funds raised during The Bishop’s Challenge: The Jehu Jones Mission are to provide grants for educational enrichment opportunities to emerging leaders of African descent who are active members of NJ Synod congregations. Enrichment opportunities are those which are beyond every day, usual schooling or work. Emerging leaders are new leaders, regardless of age.

The synod owns several properties and additionally assists synod congregations with property matters. We’d like to do better by finding a volunteer to focus on this area.
