In Preparation for Holy Week
We are upgrading your worship experience!
Thanks to Dave Kurowski, Mitzi Pearson and Anthony Riani for helping us to give you a better quality video experience for Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

PLEASE NOTE: The Good Friday and Easter Services will be on the Geneva Lutheran YouTube Channel which can be found here.
Maundy Thursday - A pril 9
Maundy Thursday is all about love , and Jesus shows his love in two ways: with the last supper with his disciples and by washing their feet. He invites them to serve others, as he has served them. The same invitation is extended to us. Here is a link to a printed version of the service. If this feels too much like school, Pastor Trudy will also be posting a video guide on our Facebook Page.

To Prepare You For Worship
What are you grieving?  A loss of your routine. A loss of your job. A loss of connections with people you care about. A loss of the anticipation for an event that has been cancelled. A loss of your illusion about just how much pain was hiding under the busy schedule you kept? Pay attention to these feelings and know that you are not alone. Holy Week is all about Jesus not just talking to our suffering with platitudes…He joins us, and leads us to new life…which, we are more aware than ever, will not be going back to things exactly as they were.  God of our Holy Weeks, You join us in our grieving and lead us to new life. We don’t like change and rarely choose it, and yet, here we are, on the cusp of a new way of living. Give us courage to follow where You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
