Yom HaShoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day

Come together for our community's annual Yom HaShoah commemoration. The commemorative service will commence at the Holocaust Memorial Park at the JCC at 6:30pm. At 7:30pm, join us at Beth Tzedec Congregation for our commemorative program featuring Lisa Biton from Yad Vashem, on this year's theme: The Jewish Family During the Holocaust. This program is free of charge and open to all. No registration required. Holocaust survivors and descendants are invited to meet in the social hall of Beth Tzedec at 7:15pm to be part of the opening processional. For more information, contact Amy Glassman-Boiko.

The Holocaust Memorial Park and sculpture, Ashes to Life, was donated to the Jewish community of Calgary in 1986 by William (Bill) Schwartz and Alyse Schwartz, each of blessed memory, in memory of their parents Louis & Regina Schwartz and Isaac & Celia Schwartzpel.
