Join us for a special set of events designed to celebrate the upcoming Jewish holiday of Tu B'Av, or the Jewish Love Holiday, in a welcoming, neurodiversity-affirming environment. PJ Library participants are invited to immerse themselves in play-based learning, in thoughtfully designed spaces. Led by special educator, Andrea Scharfstein, the sessions will encourage exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences. Register online. The Bercuson Family in Calgary as told by Dr. David Bercuson

Author of forty books on history and professor at the University of Calgary Department of History, Dr. Bercuson, Officer of the Order of Canada, will talk about how his family first arrived in Calgary at the turn of the 20th century from Romania, the same area where the Montefiore Institute farmers came from. Montefiore Institute Dedication Ceremony

The opening ceremony and dedication of the Montefiore Institute building which originally took place on Thursday, August 17, 1916, will be reenacted at Heritage Park, marking 110 years after the historic event.
