JFS SV: Help Make this Passover a True Holiday of Freedom!
March 2022
Dear Friends,

As Passover approaches, we commemorate the Jewish peoples’ freedom from bondage over 3,000 years ago. Alas, freedom is merely a dream for so many people in the world.

We all remain deeply saddened and worried as we receive the daily onslaught of news about the war in Ukraine and the resulting refugee crisis. Yet we at JFS SV join HIAS and our other strategic partners in applauding the news that the Biden administration has approved resettlement of 100,000 Ukrainians to the US.

Help JFS SV get ready for this historic resettlement in Silicon Valley by supporting JFS SV’s Emergency Services for Refugees Fund our Emergency Fund for Refugees. You can earmark your donation for Ukrainian refugees if you would like to be part of this effort.

In the meantime, we continue to assist our Russian and Ukrainian speaking Jewish Holocaust survivor clients, and to provide them with emotional support during this difficult time.

We are also heavily engaged in resettling and supporting nearly 300 refugees from Afghanistan – and expect to resettle many more in the months to come. Support from people like you has made this possible and we are deeply grateful.

Wishing you and those you love a peaceful, fulfilling Passover.

In addition we need Target gift cards for other essential items that arise for refugees.
