Our 15th annual Embrace-A-Family gift drive is coming beginning November 14th thru December 20th! Read below to learn how you can bring joy to local families, homebound seniors and refugees who otherwise would not have gifts this time of year. 
 
November 29th is also the time for #GivingTuesday, inspiring people everywhere to give and celebrate generosity.

Counseling Can Help You
Beat Holiday Stress and Blues
For many people, the holiday season is a time of anxiety, loneliness or sadness. JFS SV is pleased to welcome Vivian Wesley, LCSW, as Manager of Clinical Services, who is here to provide a warm and accepting space to process feelings and learn coping techniques during the holidays or any time of year. She is currently accepting clients ages 14+ for individual psychotherapy.

Urgent Support Needed For Refugees!
JFS SV continues to resettle and serve Afghan refugees and Ukrainian newcomers and expects to serve nearly 900 refugees this year.

JFS SV urgently needs financial support to help with temporary and permanent housing for those resettling in Santa Clara County. Help us provide a safe home, case management, emergency food and so much more for those who have fled persecution and violence and need our help.

Join us for an informative and inspiring evening where guest speaker Joe Goldman, Community Engagement Director for the Western Region at HIAS will give a global, national and state level picture, and Michelle Lee, JFS SV’s Director of Refugee Resettlement will share what is being done locally to resettle and support refugees and newcomers here in Santa Clara County and the greater Bay Area. Embrace-A-Family This Holiday Season!
The start of our 15th Annual Embrace-A-Family holiday gift program is quickly approaching and will run November 14th through December 20th. Giving gifts has never been easier through our SignUp Genius virtual dreidel boards. Select one or more dreidel wishes, make your monetary contribution for the gift with your credit or debit card, and JFS SV will deliver the gift to the individual. It’s that simple!
