JFS Welcomes Autumn with
12th Annual Embrace-A-Family
November 2019

Dear Friends,

The cooler autumn weather foreshadows the winter holidays...and Embrace-A-Family!

Our most popular program begins in less than two weeks. Come join us - volunteer, teach your kids about tzedakah and purchase a gift or two. You'll feel great!

B'shalom,

Become a JFS Friendly Visitor

Make a Real Difference
in the Life of of an Isolated Senior!

As we put our best foot forward during this new Jewish year of 5780, consider taking action to enrich your life and the life of others.

JFS is in need of empathetic and committed volunteers to become Friendly Visitors.  A JFS Friendly Visitor is matched up with an isolated senior for a weekly or every other week visit and they form lasting friendships with the senior. Our Friendly Visitors say that they get so much more than they give.

Increased Need for Shabbat Meals

As the number of isolated, low income seniors has grown in Silicon Valley, JFS needs to double the number of recipients of our wonderful kosher Shabbat dinners, provided by Pars Kosher Market.

Shabbat Meal program is wholly supported by community donations.   $42 will feed a struggling family, homebound, isolated seniors, adults with special needs, and elderly Holocaust survivors who all appreciate a kosher meal on Shabbat.
