PROGRAMS OF THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF EDMONTON

BBYO is a teen-led organization which builds the identity of Jewish teens, as well
as offering leadership roles and development programs. Despite the setbacks and restrictions that Covid-19 has given us, BBYO teens have been fully engaged and
well-connected through socially-distant programming, zoom meetings, community
service and fundraising. Through BBYO, we are able to spread positivity and friendship during these isolating and uncertain times. Our hard-working leadership teams and
boards have been committed to planning and implementing new and innovative programming while complying with Covid-19 health regulations.
Our out of the box thinking and innovative ideas require financial support and fundraising in order to keep members active and engaged.

With the amazing success of our Bagels for Break*fast fundraiser we were able to raise some much-needed funds for our Edmonton chapters, and we were happy to donate 18 jars of honey to Jewish Family Services. These jars were given to Holocaust survivors to brighten up their Rosh Hashanah and wish them a sweet new year.

I am so excited to share that we have recently received a very generous allocation from The Jewish Federation of Edmonton/United Jewish Appeal towards our programming, for which I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you. This support opens up many more programming possibilities and reduces financial stress.

On behalf of Edmonton BBYO, thank you Jewish Federation of Edmonton/UJA,
for understanding the value and importance that our BBYO organization brings to our Jewish teens and for believing in our mission! Thanks, especially, to the generous UJA donors who make Federation’s support possible.

We are extremely excited to continue to bring forward new,
creative and diverse programs that Edmonton hasn’t yet seen before.

Warm regards,

Leah Campbell
Edmonton BBYO Chapter N’siah (President)
