We recently had ESO conductor Alexander Prior at the Edmonton Jewish Film Festival, he has requested we tell you about their upcoming event. Join your Edmonton Symphony Orchestra on June 14 and 15 for an evening of Russian music. Enjoy an evening of stunning music from great Russian composers: Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Rimsky-Korsakov. Dive into the fantastic ballet score of Swan Lake. Expect a spectacular performance of Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini from Sara Davis Buechner, hailed by The New York Times for “thundering fortissimos, chiselled passagework” and “intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess”. The evening closes off with the 1001 nights of Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov. Tickets start at $24. June 14 and 15. Click here for tickets
