Hip, Heymish and Hot...
Eleanor Reissa is one of the world’s most renowned interpreters of Yiddish music, and an award winning theatre artist. Join us for a delightful evening celebrating gems of Yiddish music and humor. You don't need to understand Yiddish to appreciate the joys and warmth of this unique, soulful language. The program includes passionate folk songs, classics of the Second Avenue Theatre, and touching expressions of love, piety and protest. You'll laugh, cry and realize you understand more than you thought. With Jerry Korman on piano.
Special Guest: Sherri Wise , the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. Sherri, a survivor of a terror attack in Jerusalem, is a passionate advocate for victims of terrorism.
Appetizer Reception at 6:00 PM

For the last 42 years JNF Edmonton supporters have been calling the Edmonton JNF office and more often than not they are greeted by Devorah Matkovcik. After 42 years with JNF, Devorah will be retiring at the end of August and in honour of this milestone, I would like to ask your help, in contributing towards her favourite JNF partnered project, Save A Child’s Heart- acknowledging her dedication to JNF and Israel. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and would mean so much to Devorah as she is truly and sincerely a supporter of the Jewish people and Israel. Any amount will help and would be so meaningful to Devorah. Thank you in advance.
