Hello!
While this will not be a traditional Memorial Day weekend with celebrations including parades and large gatherings, we can still take time to honor those that died while serving our country. To all who have served, we say thank you.
Although the calendar is a bit quieter this holiday weekend, we would like to highlight several upcoming events. Later this morning, we will host
County Executive Hon. George Latimer
as he provides us with a Jewish community update and acknowledges Jewish History and Heritage month. Next Wednesday, May 27th, the Council's Jewish Visioning Roundtable will present
an evening of thinking with
Dr. Steven Windmueller,
Emeritus Professor at HUC-JIR
, as he discusses thoughts on the present and future status of the Jewish community. Details may be found below.
We wish everybody strength of body and healing of spirit

Sincerely,
Lisa Roberts, President

Wendy Segal, President of Kol Rinah
(Council member) shared with us the following (which has been abbreviated):
"We're still here! Sometimes, the soul just needs expression, and for many of us, singing allows our souls to speak. Because of the generosity of so many of you, we are continuing to "rehearse" together via video conference with the aid of our conductor and our accompanist.
Because most of us could use a blessing right around now, we hope you'll enjoy our rendition of John Rutter's
