'We are stardust’
Four local people remember being at Woodstock: the music, the rain, the crowds, the mud, the transformation

When you look at the photographs of the original Woodstock festival — the real one; the one exactly 50 years ago; the one that started on August 15, 1969; the one that actually was about 70 miles away from the town of Woodstock, in the Catskills (yes, those Catskills) — you are overwhelmed by the sheer number of people there.
Rockland Holocaust museum will honor two at benefit
The Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education’s annual benefit brunch is set for Sunday, September 15, at 10 a.m., at the New City Jewish Center. It will honor Judy Josephs. Jules Stern will receive the Elie Wiesel Memorial award and Rabbi Steven Weil will be the keynote speaker.
Rockland run/walk event aims to remember Holocaust victims
Registration is open for the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education’s second annual “Run/Walk for the Six” on Sunday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m., at the Rockland Community College track, 145 College Road in Suffern. Registration begins at 9.
