The LSAW Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the Jim Coan Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded annually to an exceptional college student enrolled in a surveying program in the State of Washington with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Jim’s contributions to the education of surveyors through both LSAW presentations and 23 years teaching at Renton Technical College have had a great impact on our profession and will not be forgotten.

On Giving Tuesday (November 30th), we are asking land surveyors across the state to show their generosity and support for the students who make up our future workforce. Please make a tax-deductible contribution to the LSAW Foundation (a 501(c)(3) foundation), and help support our efforts to educate future surveyors.

Your generosity will be repaid through the development of new surveyors coming out of our educational institutions and available to support your workforce development needs and walk in your footsteps in the future.

Make a donation to the general fund, or choose a specific memorial scholarship and we will earmark your donation accordingly.

About the LSAW Foundation

The Land Surveyors' Association of Washington Foundation was formed to provide a means whereby people interested in advancing the profession could work together to provide financial assistance to deserving students, educators and others who work to enhance the standing of the profession in Washington State. Formed in 2007 at the LSAW Annual Conference in Spokane, the Foundation has since attained IRS 501(c)3 non-profit status.

The Foundation is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. It holds an annual membership meeting and periodic Board meetings. Visit the Calendar page for information on our next meeting.
