Halftime 2025 If you feel like you need a boost to make the second half of your year remarkable then reconnect with me -- I can help you finish strong. A number of former clients who have renewed with me are killing it -- why not you? 👍

Birthday # 249 The United States ongoing experiment in democracy turns 249 on July 4th. I hope you, like me, ignore the negativity in the media that regularly reports we're in decline, that we're no longer a superpower, that we're not as good as we used to be. My opinion: As always, we have challenges. But we've never NOT been great, despite our politicians. And the experiment will go on -- let's celebrate the ride! 🇺🇸

June Was Good to Me I had several positive happenings this past month: 1. Got my tax refund, only 3 months late. (The IRS, like other federal agencies, is a bit behind.) 💰 2. Speaking of "behind" -- I got a a new bicycle seat that leveled out my butt cheeks, relieving ongoing pain there. 🚴 3. Had a procedure to remove a benign vocal cord cyst so my voice isn't so sexy now. 👄 4. The Cubs are in 1st place, woo hoo! ⚾

Moment of Silence Please R.I.P. Sly Stone, innovative funk & soul musician, singer, songwriter, arranger and producer who, like at Woodstock, wanted to take us higher. 🙏

Moment of Silence Please, Part 2 There will be Good Vibrations in heaven now that Brian Wilson has joined the choir. He was a founding member of The Beach Boys, the only band who could go toe-to-toe in the 1960's with The Beatles for hits. R.I.P. 🙏

War, Continued Israel 🇮🇱 and Ukraine 🇺🇦 continue their battles to establish peace in their countries. Global democracy is at stake here -- it matters to all of us. For humanitarian aid you can donate to the neutral International Red Cross here. ❤️

Book Recommendations I read 50+ non-fiction books a year -- it's where I find ideas to help my clients grow their business. Below are the ones I read this past month.

The Sweaty Startup: How to Get Rich Doing Boring Things Nick Huber has written one of the most honest business books I've ever read. He says the odds for success are very low that you are going to be the next Musk, Bezos, Gates or Jobs but can be high if you're willing to throw yourself into an unsexy business that you build over time.

Lorne: The Man Who Invented Saturday Night Live An in-depth, thoroughly researched AND entertaining bio of Lorne Michaels: How hard he worked to enable Saturday Night Live to have such an enormous influence on American culture. If you're a long-time fan of SNL like I am, this is a MUST read.

Tequila Wars: José Cuervo and the Bloody Struggle for the Spirit of Mexico The story of Mexico's most famous export is a story of mind-boggling political, economic and familial intrigue. This book may be best enjoyed sipping an icy margarita. 🌵

Hannibal: Rome's Greatest Enemy Learn about Hannibal, a Carthaginian general who drove his troops (and elephants!) over the Alps into the heart of the Roman Republic.

Eminent Jews: Bernstein, Brooks, Friedan, Mailer Profiles of four Jewish individuals: Mel Brooks, Betty Friedan, Norman Mailer and Leonard Bernstein, whose creativity, drive and determination have had a remarkable impact on American society.

Financial Advisors I coach Financial Advisors around the country to help them grow their clientele. I always want to meet FA's, branch managers and/or fund wholesalers anywhere in the US. Your introductions are greatly appreciated.

Audio Recommendation Want great ideas from Earl Nightingale, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins and other personal development superstars? You can always go to Nightingale.com for hundreds of hours of motivational/inspirational/educational audios to help you stay on track with success.

Contribution  There are lots of ways you can "Pay It Forward" for good karma. If you want to contribute to a military veteran's transition to a civilian job like I do, sign on as a mentor with ACP American Corporate Partners Mentoring Program. Also, the American Red Cross will always welcome you to donate blood. 👍

Healing Thoughts If you would be so kind, please take a moment to send healing energy as I do daily to individuals you know who have serious health challenges or are dealing with difficult circumstances. Every positive thought helps, thanks. 🙏
